National Energy Development Inc. (NED) was incorporated in 2000. It is a privately held company.  Current operations are in the Illinois and Appalachian Basin. Ira Curry is the founder and President of NED.  It is a family run company with the highest degree of honesty, integrity.  Mr. Curry began in the oil industry in 1980 as an investor. Not pleased with being an investor only, started drilling and operating his own wells, in the Illinois Basin.  In 1984 operations began in Kentucky, expanding to north central Tennessee in 1990, where exploration and production   continue.  With the discovery of excellent oil wells in 2008, NED at the time was one of the largest oil producers in the state.  The production was sold in 2013, before the downward trend in the oil market. Ira Curry insists on hands operation of NED, whether it is in the office or in the field.
